Comprehensive Hearing Evaluation

A hearing evaluation is a series of painless tests that assess your entire auditory system — how well you hear across pitches and volumes, how clearly you understand speech, and whether your middle and inner ear are functioning properly.

  • Covers patients of all ages — kids ages 5 and up, adults, and seniors
  • Identifies conductive, sensorineural, or mixed hearing loss
  • Early detection reduces risk of isolation, cognitive decline, and falls

Pure-Tone Audiometry

The cornerstone of every hearing evaluation. Measures the softest sounds you can hear from 250 Hz to 8000 Hz. Results are plotted on an audiogram — a visual map of your hearing.

  • Listen to tones through headphones in a sound-treated room
  • Bone conduction testing pinpoints where hearing loss originates
  • Painless and takes about 15–20 minutes

Speech Audiometry

Measures how well you understand spoken words — not just detect them. Many patients hear people talking but struggle to make out what's being said.

  • Speech Recognition Threshold (SRT): Softest level you can repeat words
  • Word Recognition Score: Clarity of speech at comfortable volume
  • Speech-in-Noise Testing: Understanding in real-world noisy environments

Tympanometry & Middle Ear Assessment

A quick, painless test that evaluates your eardrum and middle ear bones. A small probe measures how your eardrum moves in response to controlled air pressure.

  • Detects fluid, perforations, and Eustachian tube dysfunction
  • No behavioral response needed — the probe does the work
  • Results available immediately

Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE)

OAE testing checks the health of your inner ear hair cells by measuring faint "echoes" they produce in response to sound. Useful as a cross-check during pediatric and adult hearing evaluations.

  • No behavioral response required
  • Detects early noise-induced damage before it shows on standard tests
  • Recommended for anyone over 50, those with noise exposure, or tinnitus
